Fleet Mechanic Job Description
  • We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Randstad Canada.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining fleet vehicles, including diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections.
  • Key responsibilities include utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, performing maintenance and repairs, and conducting scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of heavy-duty fleet operations and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Additional responsibilities may include conducting off-site diagnostics and repairs, performing road tests, and entering repair work orders in the shop management system.
  • The Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols, and meeting deadlines.
Fleet Mechanic Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a shop environment is required.
  • Mechanic experience equivalent to a Level 4 Apprenticeship or higher is required.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
  • Manitoba Safety Inspection certified on 4500+ KG is required.
  • A Red Seal Designation is an advantage.
  • The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, as well as a superior attention to detail.
