We are seeking a skilled Machining Specialist to join our team at Western Steel Works Inc. in the metal fabrication industry.

Job Summary

This permanent role involves operating computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, and verifying dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.

About the Role
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and productivity while operating CNC machines and ensuring quality control standards are met.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient production.
  • Verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure conformity to specifications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the metal fabrication industry.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines, tool grinders, and plasma cutters.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
