Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team at The Regional Municipality of York. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of projects as part of the Discrete Wastewater Asset Condition program.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Project Delivery: Manage the delivery of projects in compliance with regional requirements and program management best practices.
  • Technical Analysis: Lead water and wastewater engineering technical analysis and provide recommendations related to development, operational changes, asset management, and system performance.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed estimates of project costs and assist with capital forecasts and reports.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise staff including recruitment, selection, hiring, scheduling, assigning, and monitoring work, determining training and development needs, coaching, and mentoring.
Requirements:
  • Education: University Degree in Engineering or approved related field.
  • Registration: Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • Experience: Experience in the development planning, approvals, design, construction, and operating processes of municipal infrastructure, including administrative/operational experience in the municipal infrastructure industry.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Familiarity with all applicable legislation and regulatory guidelines associated with municipal water and wastewater services.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability in leadership and core competencies, staff supervisory skills, and knowledge of collective agreement administration and interpretation.
About You:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
