Senior Systems Infrastructure Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Maintenance and Management: Ensure high availability and optimal performance of our systems and infrastructure.
  • Technical Changes and Improvements: Plan, document, and execute technical changes while adhering to our Change Management process.
  • Issue Resolution and Support: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, providing assistance to other IS teams when required.
  • Project Contribution: Participate in planning and implementing projects to enhance services or introduce new technologies.
  • On-Call Support: Contribute to our on-call support roster outside of regular business hours, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • ERP System Administration: Oversee day-to-day administration of our major ERP system.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Production, Logistics, and Engineering teams to drive new initiatives and support manufacturing and logistics processes.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • Expertise in administering and supporting:
    • Microsoft Windows Server Operating System
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Active Directory
    • IP networking
    • Storage and virtualization (NetApp and VMware)
    • Powershell scripting
  • Experience with Incident, Request, and Change management in an operations role.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with manufacturing industry applications and large database-based applications.
  • Familiarity with M365 tenant administration, network management tools, and router/firewall administration.
