Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Alberta Ltd. in Calgary, AB.

This is a permanent full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, and 40 hours of work per week.

As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

You will also evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software, provide problem-solving services to network users, implement data, software, and hardware security procedures, and perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records.

In addition, you will perform data backups and disaster recovery operations, set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.

Modifying Web pages, applets, and scripts, researching and applying meta-data to Websites, and registering Websites with search engines are also key responsibilities of this role.

You will respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers, perform Web-server backup and recovery operations, and supervise technical staff.
