The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety team is committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment. We are seeking an experienced Onsite Medical Care Specialist to join our team.

Job Overview

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

This role requires strong first aid skills, including the ability to provide emergency care and refer patients to outside medical providers as needed. You will work closely with our Wellness Specialists and site managers to promote health and wellness among Amazon Associates.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing triage and prompt first aid within the scope of your training
  • Maintaining all records of care provided to Amazon Associates
  • Developing first aid care plans for associates recovering from injuries
  • Managing workers' compensation and return-to-work processes

You will also participate in incident investigations and weekly case management review meetings. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to coach employees on observed at-risk work habits and promote body mechanics best practices.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • One of the following certifications: Primary Care Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician Basic, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, Military Medical Technician, or Bachelor's degree in Exercise Sciences, Exercise Physiology, Health Sciences, or Kinesiology
  • A valid card evidencing successful completion of standard first aid with CPR/AED level A or C

Preferred qualifications include experience with workers' compensation, teaching first aid certification classes, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with industrial wellness programs.
