Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Claims Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all vendor partners receive proper credit and that inventory is controlled through proper merchandise handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Shrink Prevention: Assist in preventing shrink by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
  2. Return Processing: Maintain all up-to-date returns, vendor return requests (RA), recalls, paperwork, packing, and shipping, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within any deadlines as per Company guidelines.
  3. Asset Protection: Ensure safety practices are being followed continuously, including proper disposal of chemicals, maintaining a clean and hazard-free claims area, and proper ladder usage and lifting techniques.
  4. Return Monitoring: Monitor merchandise being returned through claims and protect assets by ascertaining proper process and handling in regard to shrink, in order to keep charge backs to a minimum.
  5. Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge about Company policies, guidelines, and processes regarding the handling of damaged and recalled merchandise and ensure all New Store Programs and systems are implemented and followed on a continuous basis.
  6. Return Manual Compliance: Ensure that the Return Manual is being followed through keeping claims current, keeping charge backs to a minimum, and ensuring Vendor Return Request Forms are completed for all claims over 45 days old.
  7. GM CVP Support: Complete all GM CVP (Customer Value Program) requirements.
  8. Support to Office and Store Teams: Provide support to Office Support Associate (OSA) and Directs Store Delivery Associate as required.
