Job DescriptionThoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner

The Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in the care of patients with thoracic and respiratory diseases, as well as related co-morbid conditions. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse practitioner who can work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose undifferentiated diseases and conditions, provide treatment, and prescribe medications in line with the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor ongoing care, order diagnostic investigations, interpret results, and develop tailored treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Establish care priorities, provide follow-up treatment, and communicate effectively with patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and prognoses.
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications within legal and regulatory guidelines, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical treatments.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or equivalent.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification with the applicable regulatory body.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, with the ability to diagnose, treat, and manage patient care.
