Langley, Canada Mauser Packaging Solutions Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair molds as required using welding and machining techniques.
  • Oversee all work and work orders for molds to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage SMED changes to production molds to improve efficiency.
  • Organize mold inserts in cabinets and maintain a safe inventory stock.
  • Oversee mold changes and report downtime to the team.
  • Direct fellow team members in daily workload and provide guidance on tasks.
  • Work with tooling vendors to repair molds and resolve issues.
  • Initiate purchase orders for mold parts and maintain an inventory stock.
  • Inspect used mold parts to determine dimensional requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality department to resolve defects and improve processes.
  • Participate in the on-call program and work additional hours as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and use precision measuring devices.
  • Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations.
