TMX Investor Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Securities Transfer Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions, providing guidance and support to team members, and communicating company goals and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and lead a team of operations professionals
  • Oversight of branch-specific functions and dependencies
  • Operate and maintain two distinct record-keeping systems
  • Process transfers and register changes in ownership
  • Support client financing and IPO closings
  • Monitor team performance and create metrics
  • Delegate tasks and set team goals and deadlines
  • Oversight of department emails
  • Lead and monitor workflow completion with other branches
  • Handle escalated matters from staff and internal/external parties
  • Review and update Desk Operating Procedures (DOP)
  • Perform spot checks on work performed by the team
  • Monthly reporting on processing volume metrics
  • Plan and execute Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan protocols
  • Perform ongoing system testing
  • Assist with compiling data for regulatory filings
  • Act as backup to other branch leads
  • Special Projects as required from Senior Management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the financial or securities industry
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership role
  • Strong experience in back-office administration
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple initiatives
  • Experience analyzing staffing needs and employee development
  • Excellent computer skills
  • A willingness to adapt to a changing environment
  • Flexible schedule to work overtime as required
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (optional)
