Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Transportation Specialist to join our team at School District #74 (Gold Trail). As a key member of our student transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and on extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Supervise students on the bus to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain the bus's interior and exterior.
  • Make minor repairs as needed and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Enforce student discipline and promote a positive and respectful environment on the bus.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 2 Driver's License with air endorsement.
  • At least 2 years of driving experience with a Class 2 license and air endorsement.
  • Clear Driver's Abstract.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
  • Clear criminal record check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a school bus driver or in a related field.
  • Commitment to working as a team member to support the needs of students and the school community.
