We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Transportation Specialist to join our team at School District #74 (Gold Trail). As a key member of our student transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and on extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Supervise students on the bus to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain the bus's interior and exterior.
- Make minor repairs as needed and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Enforce student discipline and promote a positive and respectful environment on the bus.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Valid Class 2 Driver's License with air endorsement.
- At least 2 years of driving experience with a Class 2 license and air endorsement.
- Clear Driver's Abstract.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
- Clear criminal record check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Previous experience as a school bus driver or in a related field.
- Commitment to working as a team member to support the needs of students and the school community.
