Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team at Canadian Heavy Haulers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo

Requirements:

  • AZ class license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and long hours
