Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Smitty's Family Restaurant & Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, receiving and storing supplies, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Reliability and punctuality
