What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our tax compliance team, you'll work closely with our multinational team and senior executives to ensure global tax compliance, provision, and modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of income tax related items, including monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions, annual income tax returns, income tax instalments schedules, and income tax true-ups.
  • Prepare responses to inquiries for federal and provincial/state income tax audits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare CbCR, T106, and T1134 information returns.
  • Communicate with external auditors on consolidated year-end and quarterly tax provision calculation and related disclosures.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and collaborate on automation of tax processes and ongoing efforts to streamline operations.
  • Document treatment of significant tax accounting matters, tax related internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare consolidated forecasts of income tax expense, cash taxes, and effective income tax rates to support internal and external reporting functions.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled in tax technology with an emphasis on Excel, Power Query, and SQL.
  • CPA with 1-3 years of Canadian income tax experience (US/international tax experience is an asset).
  • Enrollment/partial completion of the CPA In-depth Tax course.
  • Strong team player to work collaboratively with other tax and Finance teams.
  • Willing to learn and provide support on tax matters relating to other jurisdictions outside of Canada.
