Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide protective services, respond to emergency calls, and assist with day-to-day operations of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide protective services to people and property, including responding to emergency calls and incidents.
  • Patrol McLean property and grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Perform access control functions, including ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to restricted areas.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the department, including coordinating assignments and responding to requests for assistance.
  • Document all incidents and actions taken, and complete electronic incident reports in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma required; a strong educational background in criminal justice or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of security or related experience is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
  • Must obtain and maintain required certification in CPR/AED/First Aid, CPI De-Escalation Training, and International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Officer Certification.
