Job Title: Welder

Charl-Pol Inc is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, and fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal.

Work Environment

The work site environment is confined, dusty, hot, and noisy. Staff accommodation is provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications to ensure accurate and efficient welding processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal.
  • Fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal to precise specifications.
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC) to cut and shape metal.
  • Determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and efficient welding processes.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal components.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads and physically demanding tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work with precision.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
