Job Title: Driver

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, we are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting household goods, office furniture, and other heavy items while providing exceptional customer service to our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, establishing rapport and building trust in our services.
  • Recommend moving services, boxes, supplies, and equipment based on customer needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Obtain customer feedback throughout the move, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, providing timely feedback to management.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of company products, services, pricing, and promotions to effectively communicate benefits and value to customers.
  • Perform daily truck inspections, maintaining accurate logbooks and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Accurately calculate charges, complete move-related paperwork, and ensure secure storage of revenues.
  • Safely move, pack, and unpack customer belongings using proper equipment and techniques.
  • Organize and secure trucks at the end of each job, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
  • Adhere to company policies, including those outlined in the employee handbook and presented by management.
  • Participate in regular training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, with a good sense of balance and physical stamina.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal driving regulations, with a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and company values.
  • Language skills: ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Mathematical skills: ability to accurately calculate charges, manage inventory, and perform other mathematical tasks.
  • Reasoning ability: ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and make sound decisions.
