HVAC Journeyman Job Description

At CP Services, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyman to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and certified HVAC Journeyman to perform a variety of tasks related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues, inspecting systems, and performing routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair heating and air conditioning systems, including identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
  • Inspect HVAC systems and their components to evaluate condition and identify necessary repairs.
  • Install heating and air conditioning equipment and ventilation systems.
  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars as required.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance of commercial rooftop heating and cooling equipment.
  • Prepare written materials, such as repair status and activity logs, as required.
  • Repair heating and air conditioning systems and/or components, including pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.
  • Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure availability of materials required at the job site.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and control schematics.
  • Responsible for start-up and commissioning of building automation systems.
  • Conduct customer training in the use and operation of building automation systems.
Requirements
  • Air Conditioning & Refrigeration License
  • A Gas Fitter License
  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
  • H2S Alive
  • Confined Space Monitor
  • Fall Arrest
  • A&D Clearance
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Class 5 Driver's License
  • SAP experience would be considered an asset.
