At BBA Consultants, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Electrical Systems Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver innovative engineering solutions to our clients.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual with extensive experience in power systems and MV/HV apparatus.
  • You will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and overseeing the delivery of projects related to industrial and public systems.
  • Your expertise will help drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • You will also participate in innovation projects and contribute to the development of new services and solutions.
  • Additionally, you will work closely with our internal teams to increase department efficiency and ensure structured project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise consulting services for power system studies, including short-circuit, power flow, protection coordination, arc-flash hazards, harmonics, transients, modeling, insulation coordination, and other related studies.
  • Develop department members' technical skills through training and mentoring, while actively participating in recruiting and hiring qualified personnel.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, preparing competitive proposals to secure new business opportunities.
  • Contribute as a technical expert or project manager on various projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Monitor and assess employees under your supervision, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
  • Collaborate with our Innovation and Practice teams to streamline department processes and implement best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in power systems and MV/HV apparatus, with intermediate knowledge of testing at client sites.
  • Proficiency in general power system software, including ETAP, EMTP-RV, and CYME.
  • Strong communication skills, with bilingual proficiency (English and French) and the ability to draft technical documents in both languages.
