We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation Ltd.

The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees. This includes sweeping and cleaning the main retail and Automotive Service Centre area floor, cleaning windows, polishing chrome railings, and emptying garbage bins.

• Sweep and clean the main retail and Automotive Service Centre area floor.
• Clean windows and polish chrome railings.
• Empty exterior and interior garbage bins, including in washrooms.
• Disinfect and clean the washrooms, including stalls, mirrors, walls, toilets, floors, and sink area.
• Clean the office floors, dust desks, and empty garbage and recycle bins.
• Clean locker and staff room floors, countertops/sinks, appliances, and tables.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained regularly.
• Remove snow from front entrance and exit and emergency exits.
• Strip and buff floors, as required.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

• Experience in a janitorial/custodial or maintenance role.
• Result-oriented.
• Ability to handle physical demands, including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning, and reaching.
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt, and cope with challenging situations and make decisions.
