Data Management Expert Thales Canada Defence & Security is seeking a seasoned Data Management Expert to join our team. As a Data Management Expert, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's data infrastructure, ensuring efficient data collection, storage, analysis, and utilization. You will develop a clear roadmap for improving data management and lead the implementation of a new Data Governance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a DM team and a minimum of 5 years of experience in responsibility for DM functions. The position requires expertise in the deployment, maintenance, and use of at least one DM tool and expertise in at least one DM standard. Additionally, the candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the organization's data infrastructure
  • Develop a clear roadmap for improving data management
  • Lead the implementation of a new Data Governance program
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data, from acquisition and processing to dissemination, archiving, and destruction
  • Maintain data quality, security, and integrity
  • Establish and maintain data baselines
  • Manage data exchanges between TCDS and various stakeholders
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a DM team
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in responsibility for DM functions
  • Expertise in the deployment, maintenance, and use of at least one DM tool
  • Expertise in at least one DM standard
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
