Job Summary

Triovest is seeking a skilled Building Operator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our commercial properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our buildings' mechanical systems, performing routine maintenance, and providing exceptional service to our tenants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain building equipment and systems, including DDC, security access, lighting controls, water treatment, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance to the interior and exterior of the building as required.
  • Respond to tenant requests and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administer files and records, including processing work orders, purchase orders, and project documents.
  • Monitor energy efficiency and trend data to optimize building performance.
  • Liaise with outside contractors to ensure compliance with building rules and regulations.
  • Assist with budgeting and ensure compliance with budgeted costs.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergency situations.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in commercial building operations.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Ability to travel between buildings as needed.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or BES certification.
  • Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical equipment, building automation, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including WHMIS, lockout and tag out, fall protection, and mold.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including Microsoft Suite and DDC systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
