Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing primary care to patients, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, prescribing medications, and ordering diagnostic tests.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat medical conditions: Conduct thorough medical examinations, take patient histories, and order diagnostic tests to determine the best course of treatment.
- Prescribe medications and treatments: Order and administer medications, treatments, and other interventions to manage patient conditions.
- Provide preventive care: Offer health advice, vaccinations, and other preventive measures to promote patient well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals: Work with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
- Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in family medicine or a related field.
- Certifications: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
