**Job Summary**
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community and School Recreation Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing community-based sports, culture, and recreation programs for students and community members.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Facilitate the delivery of a variety of community-based sports, culture, and recreation programs after school, evenings, and weekends.
- Work collaboratively with students, their families, and community members to develop and implement programs that meet their needs.
- Recruit, coordinate, and recognize volunteers to support program delivery.
- Gather input towards the creation of an annual program plan, record, and report participant data.
- Establish and maintain community partnerships to support program development and delivery.
**Requirements:**
- Grade 12 diploma required.
- Diploma in Recreational and/or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years direct or related experience in Sports, Recreation, and Culture preferred.
- Ability to work in collaboration with community partners and stakeholders.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sensitivity to the north and its diverse culture.
- Ability to speak Cree is a definite asset.
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and driver's abstract.
