About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team at Feenstra Architecture Inc. as a key member of our design and construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze technical documents and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in supervising construction projects from design to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Prepare working drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Supervise architectural technical staff and provide guidance on design and construction procedures.
  • Write technical reports and specifications for construction projects.
  • Construct architectural and display models to communicate design concepts.
  • Prepare presentation graphics and drawings to present design concepts to clients.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and proposals for clients.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets for construction projects.
  • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements and specifications.
  • Train new drafting personnel and supervise other drafting staff.
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy.
Requirements
  • Membership in the Provincial Association of Architects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT.
  • Own vehicle and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and initiative.
  • Organized and punctual with a strong attention to detail.
