Job Description

The Material Movement Specialist ensures the proper movement and storage of products and materials during day-to-day production. This involves working with other team members to create and maintain a safe, organized working environment/culture that meets/exceeds MAT HD—Rome facility standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs daily safety inspection of forklift before operating to ensure safety
  • Takes proper safety and precautionary measures when operating machinery
  • Supports essential logistic operations through storage and transportation
  • Notifies technicians in advance when forklifts are in need of service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Good communication skills (listening, verbal, and written)
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic mathematical concepts
