We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Formulation Specialist to join our team at Arthur Edward, a leading beauty, personal care, and FMCG recruitment agency. As a Senior Formulation Specialist, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in Colour Cosmetics formulation development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new technologies, raw materials, and formulas across the Colour Cosmetics category, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including raw material suppliers, to identify product and process innovations.
  • Optimize the raw material portfolio for cost-effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
  • Support the technical development of internal talent, providing guidance and training to ensure the growth and success of our team.
  • Participate in client visits, risk assessments, and new product launch meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Science degree, preferably in Chemistry, with significant Colour Cosmetics formulation experience.
  • Technical knowledge of raw material functions and applications, including processing technologies and testing instruments.
  • Expertise in New Product Development (NPD), performance evaluation, market trends, manufacturing, quality, GMP/GLP, and 5S.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with strong leadership abilities and experience in coaching junior staff.
