About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and reliable individual to join our team as a Food Counter Attendant. This is a fast-paced role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, ensuring they are sanitized and ready for use.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Scour pots and pans to remove any food residue and ensure they are ready for use.
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used, providing valuable insights into inventory management and ordering.
  • Package take-out food efficiently and accurately, ensuring customers receive their orders promptly.
  • Portion and wrap foods neatly and attractively, meeting our high standards of presentation.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, following established recipes and procedures.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars regularly, maintaining a well-stocked and organized kitchen environment.
  • Take customers' orders clearly and accurately, using our menu system to ensure precision and efficiency.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, following established safety protocols.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, maintaining a spotless and hygienic environment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and securely, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, maintaining a well-organized and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, ensuring our facilities remain clean and free from pests and odors.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors regularly, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff alike.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit efficiently and accurately, following established recipes and procedures.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, lifting heavy loads, and handling repetitive tasks.
  • Our kitchen environment can be fast-paced and challenging, requiring excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • You will work closely with our team to achieve our goals, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
  • Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) occasionally, and may require prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Estimated Salary
