Responsibilities:

  • Help manage various compliance processes across the organization, collaborating with business teams to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of requirements
  • Gain a deep understanding of business and risk management needs and seek opportunities for enhancement
  • Maintain and enhance all internal testing and monitoring activities by leveraging industry leading best practices and regulatory expectations
  • Develop effective dashboards and reports to support effective governance of the compliance program and related activities
  • Project manage updates and changes to the program as a result of internal or external partner requests
  • Provide guidance to the team and business stakeholders on effective risk management strategies
  • Use business acumen to help solve problems and be a valuable member of not just the compliance team, but the business teams being supported

Requirements:

  • University Degree required
  • 5-7 years' experience in compliance, legal, accounting, analytics, or risk role
  • Proven track record of working successfully with senior management in an impactful and influential capacity
  • Sound judgment and business aculumen
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and comfort in navigating ambiguous situations and complex problems
  • Strong attention to detail and project management/organizational skills
  • Proven ability to lead and influence through strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment an asset
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to multitask
