About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Web Freight Inc. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Assist with payroll processing, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, and maintaining accurate records of employee benefits.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
