Ocado Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team, contributing to the development of advanced robotics and automation systems.

We are looking for an experienced engineer who can design, develop, and integrate complex electrical systems for our robotic products. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with software engineers, AI experts, and product designers to create innovative solutions that meet our customers' needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field, with experience in designing, developing, and integrating motor control systems, sensor integration, and communication protocols. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex electrical systems for robotic products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into overall system design
  • Develop and implement motor control systems, sensor integration, and communication protocols
  • Work with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with software components
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing electrical systems for robotic products
  • Strong understanding of electronics, motor control systems, and sensor integration
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
  • Experience working with microcontrollers, motor controllers, and communication protocols

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with analog electrical equipment, including specification of cables, connectors, and panel layouts
  • Familiarity with machine safety standards, including ANSI/RIA R15.06-2012 and NFPA79

Ocado Group offers a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and paid vacation time.
