GMR Safety is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of electrical projects, from conception to delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage electrical projects, including design, development, and testing;
- Develop and improve electrical products, including electronic and control systems;
- Establish technical specifications, functional requirements, and industry standards for products;
- Create and validate electrical plans and schematics;
- Develop project schedules and budgets, and ensure timely completion;
- Drive innovation and problem-solving to overcome technical challenges;
- Lead, participate in, and approve calculations and design reviews;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and test prototypes;
- Define validation criteria for pre-production testing;
- Support installation and service teams during testing and validation;
- Develop technical documentation for developed systems;
- Manage and optimize workload and resources;
- Program automated systems and industrial diagnostics.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field;
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, including circuit design and control systems;
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ) as a licensed engineer;
- Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills;
- Knowledge of international standards and US electrical codes is an asset;
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other electrical design software;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
- Experience in programming languages C and Ladder;
- Ability to organize, plan, and resolve problems effectively;
- Strong teamwork and communication skills;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
