Cook's Helper Job Description

Claude et Marcel Martin inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cook's Helper to join our team. As a Cook's Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist cooks in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Keep records of food quantities used.
  • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives.
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
