The role of the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at American International Group is a key leadership position that will drive business growth.

Job Description:

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will lead the financial planning cycle, forecasting, management reporting processes, innovation, and leading and developing FP&A team members for AIG Canada.

This role involves direct responsibility for the FP&A area, partnering with AIG Group to coordinate reporting of results and group planning and forecasting processes.

You will be responsible for leading commercial insights and analysis for Canada, across the Group, that assist the business to achieve strategic goals, challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate.

Continuous partnering with business leaders to support the understanding of drivers of performance and identify and develop opportunities for better reporting.

Report relevant KPIs, using both internal and external data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Create, standardize, improve, and maintain financial models across all operating units to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maximize the use of reporting tools available and ensure these are maintained to underpin efficient reporting processes.
  • Experience in forecasting and modelling and knowledge of business performance and metrics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Post-secondary education is considered an asset.
