Role Summary
Combine Cafe & Bar is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food offerings, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare and serve beverages and food offerings to guests, ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including setting up and resetting the bar, and adhering to health and safety standards.
- Operate bar equipment, including changing kegs, and accurately operate POS terminals and other computerized systems.
- Upsell and promote menu items, and provide detailed product knowledge to guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant or Cafe Manager.
Education and Experience
- Experience in a similar environment, including a hotel, restaurant, catering, or other fast-paced high-volume establishment.
- Serving it Right Certified.
- Foodsafe Level 1 would be considered an asset.
- Certificates in mixology would be considered an asset.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent grooming standards and a professional demeanor at all times.
- Pleasant, outgoing personality, and able to communicate and work with a diverse group of individuals and guests.
- Well-organized and efficient, able to multitask.
- Team player and works productively with others.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Knowledge of a 2nd language would be considered an asset.
