About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Design Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Edmonton head office based in Sarnia, you will be responsible for mentoring junior designers, preparing drawing deliverables, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor junior designers towards becoming leads on industrial project development
- Prepare layout drawings, plans, sections, and details for structural steel and concrete
- Knowledge of industrial civil/structural drawing delivery and industry standards
- Experience with AutoDesk or Microstation programs in 2D and 3D delivery
- Proficiency in 3D structural modelling and laser scan point cloud file manipulation
- In-plant work experience would be a significant advantage
Qualifications - Education, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma from a recognized technology program (equivalent combination of education and experience considered)
- 5-15 years of demonstrated experience executing EPCM/industrial plant projects
- Successful candidates must be committed to delivering fit-for-purpose approaches and designs for clients, with proven experience and proficiency
- Soft skills such as communication, multi-tasking, shifting priorities, meeting deadlines, organizing, customer service, teamwork, collaboration, etc.
