We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team at Baker Tilly Gatineau Inc. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for preparing corporate client financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing corporate client financial statements (compilations) and tax returns.
  • Bookkeeping from client supplied records.
  • Preparing payroll and related filings.
  • Preparing GST/QST and HST returns.
  • Preparation of personal income tax returns.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Graduate of a College or University accounting or bookkeeping program.
  • Bilingual is a requirement.
  • Accounting experience with a small to mid-size business or professional firm would be an asset.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Simply Accounting and Quickbooks. Experience with Caseware and Corporate Taxprep, would be an asset.
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
