About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at TechWest Inc. as a Precision Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled machine tools to manufacture precision parts and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Control: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring optimal fit and finish.
  • Engineering Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair machine tools and parts, as well as maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
  • Setup and Operation: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments and ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in CNC machining or a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
