Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Anti-Money Laundering & Financial Crime IT team, you will be responsible for leading detailed requirement phases, assessing and documenting business needs, and resolving business systems issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead detailed requirement phases by identifying, tracking, escalating, and resolving business systems issues.
  • Assess, research, analyze, and document sponsor/stakeholder needs using reporting tools and requirements.
  • Identify, track, and resolve business systems issues.
  • Develop detailed process maps to facilitate requirements gathering, gap analysis, and training.
  • Manage project documentation, including implementation plans, issues logs, process maps, reports, and FTE analysis.
  • Contribute to successful project completion within budget and on time, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Develop strategic training plans for new or enhanced business processes.
  • Provide assistance with business user testing, as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners and internal/external team members.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis and software development.
  • Expertise in data mapping and creating data mapping specifications.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and experience with Big Data and Terra Data platforms.
  • Expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business rules for processing data.
  • Experience defining and documenting complex functional business logic.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and experience with scripting languages (SQL).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience working in Agile projects, using Jira, creating user stories, and overall knowledge of the Agile Framework.
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime offenses.
  • Knowledgeable on business process modeling, process mapping.
  • Knowledge of IT delivery methodologies: Agile, Iterative Waterfall, and Waterfall.
