Responsibilities:
  • Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks.
  • Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments to ensure accurate results.
  • Record test results and medications given by ophthalmologists.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment, clean and maintain it to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies to prevent stockouts.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments.
  • Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history to provide comprehensive care.
  • Manage routine office functions, including organizing and maintaining inventory.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ophthalmology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
