Educational Assistant

We are seeking multiple full-time Educational Assistants to join our team at Cold Lake Junior High School. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their educational program needs, including social skills, behavior skills, self-help, and personal care needs.
About the Role:
- Assist students with their educational program needs, including social skills, behavior skills, self-help, and personal care needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized plans for students.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students, as needed.
- Document student progress and communicate with teachers and parents as required.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
- Post-secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant.
- Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies.
- Experience working one-on-one and/or in group settings.
- Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers.
- Knowledge and experience in alternate communication strategies.
- Experience assisting students with self-help and personal care needs.
- Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans.
