">About the Role:

- You will assess risk accurately to an approval limit of $2,000,000 - $3,000,000 for individual life and $1,000,000 for critical illness policies.">
- You will provide sound risk decisions and related support to the Sales & Marketing and Retail business line teams.">
- You will interact with reinsurance providers to spread risks on retention amounts that exceed the Empire Life retention limit.">
Requirements:
">- ">
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required.">
- You must have 4+ years work experience in individual underwriting, three of which has been at an intermediate level.">
- You must have experience coaching/mentoring others.">
- You must have comprehensive knowledge of medical and financial terminology.">
- You must have well-developed analytical and problem resolution skills.">
- You must be able to work within and apply decision methodologies.">
- A university degree in life sciences, nursing or kinesiology is required.">
- FLMI with underwriting specialty is considered an asset.">
- Working towards FALU is considered an asset.">
