We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Brokerunion Insurance Inc. as a permanent full-time position.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
- Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as maintain accurate records of employee benefits.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including statistical and accounting reports.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, as well as maintain accurate records of tax-related documents.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a office setting with frequent use of computer and other office equipment.
