We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team at the Nova Scotia SPCA. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care.
Responsibilities- Animal Care: Prepare and serve food and water to animals, clean and disinfect enclosures, and assist with animal health checks.
- Enrichment and Socialization: Provide mental and physical stimulation to animals through playtime, exercise, and socialization.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties, such as data entry and record-keeping.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in animal care or a related field.
- Skills: Attention to detail, physically demanding work, ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and excellent communication skills.
- Flexible Scheduling: Work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
