About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Product Director to lead product strategy for our GreenShield's Insurance product portfolio. This role reports to the Vice President of Product and partners with product teams across our Health and Insurance portfolio to drive outcomes that matter and deliver integrated experiences across our products.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define the strategic direction for our insurance product portfolio comprised of member, employer, provider, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop the Insurance product roadmap that is consistent with GSC's overall strategies and maintain a vision for the future of the platform.
  • Lead and guide Product Managers in aligning the insurance product development with GSC's vision and strategic goals.
  • Work with Insurance Product Specialists to ensure seamless information sharing across product functions.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and Cloud Services teams.
  • Support operations, marketing, and sales with the creation and delivery of product demonstrations, collateral, and communication of future vision and roadmap.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and lead partnership discussions to enhance GSC's product offerings.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle, balancing speed to market with risk management.
  • Oversee product-related training, including presentations and demos.
Requirements
  • 5-8+ years of product management experience; preferably some experience managing mobile products.
  • 2-5+ years of people management experience and leading Product Management teams.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
  • Experience working on a platform product with multiple product integrations. Experience in Health and Dental, Disability Management, Healthcare, or Benefits Administration.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging goals.
  • Able to form strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, thrive in ambiguity.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of the organization – especially senior executives.
  • A strong people leader with demonstrated experience motivating and coaching teams.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of conveying complex issues clearly and influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong influencing skills to engage senior leadership and partners.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product management, encompassing operational readiness, customer support, product operations, and analytics.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills; ability to make data-driven decisions and build strong business cases to drive recommendations for action.
  • A strong systems thinker with the ability to understand the full customer journey and the integrations required across a product portfolio.
  • Technical and design knowledge to effectively discuss product solutions with partners.
  • Ability to build and grow high-performing teams.
  • Ability to travel (up to 15% of time for client discussion, industry events).

At Green Shield Canada, we offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement savings plan.
