Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and safe, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
As a Line Cook at Van Gogh Grill & Bar, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding role. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
