We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team at Randstad Canada. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, and preparing financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy.
  • Prepare and verify invoices, bills, and payment documents.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting principles.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support their needs.
  • Handle routine financial calculations and data entry with precision.
  • Keep abreast of accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
  • Use accounting software and spreadsheets to organize and analyze financial data.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience in an accounting clerk role or related field.
  • Organizational and attention to detail required to perform activities in a deadline-driven environment, working with constant interruptions.
  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel), and PDF.
  • Knowledge or experience with software such as SAP, QuickBooks, SimplyAccounting, Yardi.
