Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Charlotte Birchard Centres of Early Learning. The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Experience working with children with special needs, including physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, behavioral issues, Down syndrome, and ADHD or ADD.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and maintain confidentiality.
