About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at FirstService Residential. As a key member of our Property Services Department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our properties, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and service restrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper hygiene practices.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways, as well as clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Remove rubbish and waste materials, and maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including cleaning parking lots and removing snow from front entrances.
  • Assist in the moving of garbage bins and maintain the compactor room.
  • Perform related work as assigned, including assisting with special events and projects.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in janitorial or facilities maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of standard methods and practices of the janitorial service, including the proper use of chemicals and equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
