Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Royal University Hospital. As a Personal Care Provider, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with cancer and hematological disorders.

About the Role:

This part-time regular position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for providing personal care and activities of daily living to patients, promoting their independence and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to patients, respecting their dignity and individual needs
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support patients in meeting their physical, emotional, and psychological needs
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors

Requirements:

  • Certified Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) diploma or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications
  • Familiarity with patient assessment and care planning
